HIGHER EDUCATION
ST+B is attuned to ultimate goals of the Education mission as well as the challenges these projects can provide due to budget constraints, schedule constraints, or both. We focus on providing information early in the project to help make key decisions regarding the MEP system solutions we design. We work closely with our clients to establish those parameters and stay engaged through the entire project. Ultimately, these buildings are being built to serve future generations as well as this one. We understand these facilities should be durable, reliable, and not impose a long term operating cost burden on those future generations.
Our designs are focused to that end. ST+B Engineering brings a seasoned team of local professionals with comprehensive utility tunnel- construction experience. The team also provides experienced engineers in the design and construction of large district heating and cooling systems and experienced with numerous Higher Education Facilities throughout the United States. Prior work includes many hard- bid tunnel/utility packages on very congested campus where clearly defined phasing becomes paramount to both bidding and project success.
The ST+B Engineering team understands that the successful delivery of the Higher Education Projects depends on encouraging an active partnership between our team, the sub-consultants,and the University. Through our past higher education projects at the Colorado School of Mines and University of Wyoming, and many others across the US, we have learned that open communication, regularly scheduled meetings, and documented progress with all involved are instrumental in getting successful results.
Understanding the goals of the project, delineating responsibilities and expectations, and setting and tracking deliverable dates. These are necessary to foster a team environment and align the goals of the different players involved.
“Other engineers ask us what we want and then proceed with what we say we think we want. ST+B Engineering provides necessary engineering option analysis with recommendations on which is the best. Refreshing and different. Our team appreciates the options debate driving to the best solution.”
