Todd Spacek is ST+B’s Laboratory specialist. He has worked on numerous laboratory projects across various sectors and is particularly known for his work in higher education and healthcare institutions. Over the course of his career, Todd has successfully completed more than 45 laboratory projects, including complex research and hazardous laboratories.

Todd's extensive laboratory engineering experience enables him to provide exceptional service to his clients. He has a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of laboratory projects, from designing complex systems to managing budgets and schedules. Todd is committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet his clients' needs while adhering to the highest standards of safety and sustainability.

    Loomis Laboratory of Physics Laser Lab Renovation - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Illinois – 5,000 SF of new high air volume cooling

    Micro and Nanotechnology Laboratory Addition, University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign, Illinois – 45,000 SF addition for the study photonics, microelectronics, nanotechnology, and biotechnology.

    Optherian Laboratory – University of Iowa, Coralville, Iowa – New Biological lab set up to develop methods for correcting degenerative eye disease.

    New Chemistry Building – Hach Hall - Iowa State University,  Ames, Iowa – New 138,000 SF Ground Up Chemistry Lab with teaching and analytical lab functions. 260 low flow fume hood, variable volume arrangement. ISU is ranked 9th nationally for Chemistry.

    Van Allen Clean Room HVAC upgrades - University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa – Clean Room for satellite research/development

    Visual Arts Complex – Forge Addition – the University of Colorado, Boulder - Installation of a high temp exhaust system for a steel forge

    Vet Med Incineration Study - Iowa State University – Ames, Iowa - Pre-planning for the replacement of large animal incinerator. Includes EPA Tile V review.

    Duane Physics – Original AHU Rejuvenation - University of Colorado, Boulder - Complete rejuvenation of the original built-in AHUs for Duane Physics.
